November Update

The Rugby & WW2 program began in June with a successful visit to Normandy marking D-Day 80.

Highlights included a poignant visit to Pegasus Bridge and CWGC Ranville.  The rugby festival hosted by Stade Caennais, and the finale at Sword Beach with a memorable tribute to the rugbymen and all who served.

We now move ahead to the finale in May 2025 with a series of events in Nijmegen, Lille, Arras, and Lincoln.

Please use the contact page to register your interest and for further details.  We do have a new event website for the finale on Lincoln – lincolnve80.francourt.org

Spring/Summer Update

2024 will see a continuation to our commitment towards our regular rugby festivals, Crowned Mountain in Laon during May, and Armistice ’24 in Compiegne during October.

Entries are currently being taken for Armistice ’24. Do not hesitate to contact us about this unique annual event that grows each year and is the number 1 rugby event in the Autumn for youth teams.

Our tribute to the game of Rugby continues with our “Rugby & WW2” program that starts in June commemorating the 80th Anniversary of D-Day and special events following the Liberation 80 timeline in Amiens, Arras, & Lille at the end of August and beginning of September.  The program will conclude in the spring of 2025 with events in the Netherlands, France, & UK.

We are working closely with our partners at the Shorncliffe Trust on a combined D-Day 80 Project.  A formal announcement will be made shortly.

Our charity partners Wooden Spoon will be joining us in Normandy for D-day 80 for a special fund-raising tour.  Look out for announcements on both websites about how you can donate.

Autumn Update

The Rugby World Cup 2023 is about to begin, and the anticipation is growing in France.  Will the hosts win the trophy for the first time or can South Africa repeat the success of 2019?  Other teams are looking to become champions again such as New Zealand, Australia, and England.  Could Ireland finally come good on the greatest stage?   We will have our answer on Saturday October 28th

For us the combination of the Rugby World Cup Final and the Armistice Rugby Festival in Compiegne on the same weekend is equally exciting. Youth players from France, Belgium, Netherlands, Czech Republic, England, and Wales coming together at this unique festival.
